Tech Lead - Full Time
Lief is a fast-growing, impact-first SaaS scale-up modernising social care in the UK. We are looking for a highly skilled Tech Lead to join our team on a full-time basis and drive technical excellence across projects. The role is 60% individual contributor and 40% engineering leadership.
What will you be doing?
If you're successfully hired for this role, you will be taking up the following responsibilities among others:
- Lead a compact engineering team whilst maintaining hands-on coding involvement
- Design and deploy scalable full-stack features across web and mobile
- Collaborate with product teams on technical strategy and roadmap
- Steward infrastructure including AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Bitbucket
- Make technical decisions balancing velocity, technical debt, and scalability
- Establish quality standards, code review processes, and best practices
- Mentor developers and support their professional growth
- Contribute to architectural decisions for new features and integrations
What you'll need to bring to the table?
- 5–8 years in full-stack product development
- 1–2 years in technical leadership or senior individual contributor roles
- Strong proficiency in ReactJS, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, Prisma, and PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
- Understanding of B2B SaaS architectures and secure data management
- Git and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Good to have
- Mobile development experience (React Native or similar)
- AI/ML integration background
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
